NASCAR Race at Texas Motor Speedway - November 3, 2019 [Photo and Video]

This may come as a shock to some of you, but I’ve had an on and off love affair with NASCAR. Yea, that’s right.

The Monster Energy Series came to Texas Motor Speedway for their third to last race of the season. After learning of my enthusiasm for the sport, my good friend, Chris and his awesome kids invited Sara (my GF), Jon (my brother - in town for the weekend), and me to an action packed day at the races. It was AWESOME!

I mounted my Canon with my Dad’s 40-year-old 60-300mm Minolta lens. This is the same glass I used to photograph all the races I attended in the 90’s.

It was a special weekend for a lot of reasons and I couldn’t be happier with the memories we created.

Getting to see the kids react to experiencing NASCAR for the first time was awesome. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend attending.

I hope you all enjoy the photos.

Thank you for the invitation, Chris!

Best,

Joe

P.S. If anyone out there has access to a team or media credentials for a track for the 2020 season, I would greatly appreciate and value an introduction. It has always been a dream of mine to shoot for a team and that kind of access would be a great step in making that a reality.
